Gregorian Chant to Our Lady l Office of the Immaculate Conception sung by the Heralds of the Gospel

The Office of the Immaculate Conception was originally written in Latin in the 15th century by the Franciscan monk Bernardino de Bustis in Italy. It was approved by Pope Innocent XI in 1678 and enriched by Pope Pius IX in 1876, years after he defined the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception as a Dogma of faith in the Bull "Ineffabilis Deus" on 8th December 1854.

An ancient tradition says that Our Lady kneels in heaven when someone on earth prays the Office. Even though it is considered a long prayer, many people pray it daily and others choose Saturday to praise Our Lady. What is certain is that the texts and each of the praises made to the Mother of God are based on references from Sacred Scripture.

Here we present the Matins and Prime Hours of the Office of the Immaculate Conception of Our Lady.
